Laser Acne Treatment

Unfortunately acne is a serious problem that effects over 95% of the population at some stage of their life. There are a lot of different treatments, but one that does stand above the rest is the laser acne treatment… been used for years and has evolved into a method which can be relied upon for some seriously successful results.

What is laser acne treatment?

Laser acne treatment is the use of lasers to either eliminate the inflamed skin in acne, or acne scars that have built up over time.

How many laser treatments are required?

Usually 5-7 treatments are required. It really does depend on the individual person who is going for the treatment, but as an average, expect to go in for between 5-7 treatments.

What does laser acne treatment feel like?

It kind of feels like a rubber band, however for those of you who can’t stand this feeling, then you can use a topical cream to dull the feeling.

Other alternatives to laser acne treatment?

There are other alternatives to laser acne treatment, some of which are natural and some of which are prescription only which you can get from your doctor. You’ll find some of the natural approaches reviewed on this site, if you want to check them out, just have at look at our homepage.

Acne Scar Treatment

Acne scars can be one of the worst, most self demoralizing things to have… and the worst thing is that they are often self inflicted.

The good news is that acne stars can be treated, but the treatments are as varied as there are different types of doctors.

Below you’ll find a list of the different types of treatments you can use to treat acne scars.

Before we get into that though, one thing is almost universally accepted, and that is that before you can go in for treatment for acne scars, it is important (actually imperative… meaning you can get treated) that you have got rid of all active acne. What you’ll find is that the treatments we discuss below for acne scars CANNOT be used while you have active acne (check out our review of acne treatment products which is the main focus of this site).

So, now that we have that out of the road, here is a list of the different acne scar treatments that you can use:

1)     Dermabrasion - machines with quickly rotating diamond edged wheels are used (normally) to remove damaged skin, and allow new skin to regrow in it’s place.

2)     Laser Resurfacing – the utilization of a laser to remove skin so new skin can reform in it’s place.

3)     Chemical Peels – application of different types of acid to remove the old skin so smoother new skin and replace it.

4)     Subcision – detaching the scar from deeper tissue, which allows a pool of blood to form under the scar (this blood clots which in turn helps form collective tissue and level the surface).

5)     Augmentation – basically injecting foreign material under the scar to bring it level with the rest of the surface.

So there you have it, these are the main types of acne scar treatments that you can go through, however some of the products we review, have some natural ways in which you can eliminate acne scars.

What’s The Best Acne Treatment

The best acne treatment will vary from person to person, and from place to place, depending on where you are and who you talk to.

However, below we’ll suggest some of the things we’ve seen that seem to be the best in acne treatment.

Firstly, there is the product Proactiv. Now, there are other products like Clearasil and Neutrogena that have been around for years, and many people love the results, but recently Proactiv seems to be taking over the market. Having people like Jessica Simpson and P Diddy as their champions, Proactiv is no doubt going to make a big impact on the market.

Proactiv isn’t too expensive as far as an acne treatment goes either, but the continued use of it can add up, and if you have some serious problems that may be diet or lifestyle related, then you are going to have a challenge sticking with it.

Our site has also put together a list of the best acne treatments that you can find online, as far as products (or books) that describe exactly what you can do to get rid of your acne. Some of the products give you extremely simple methods to use (meaning you can naturally get rid of your acne within 7 days) and others may be a little more difficult to use and follow.

Since everyone is different, finding the one ‘best acne treatment’ can often be quite difficult. What we would suggest though, is that you test a few different things out, but, depending on your condition the results can be fast, and sometimes the results can be a little slower. When trying out things like Proactiv though, try to stick with it for at least a good month or so.

So, to find the best acne treatment, the trick is, really, to test yourself, but a good place to start is our review of the top 3 acne treatment products that you can get online.

Proactive Acne Treatment

Acne is a condition that is prevalent in not just teens, but in people of all walks of life. For this reason, it is a good idea to find a proactive acne treatment, and get on top of your acne before it even arises.

The are several methods that you can do this, some of them include products like Proactiv, Clearasil, and Neutrogena. Proactiv has been made popular recently by several celebrities promoting the product, saying how it is the only thing that they use to keep their skin clear.

Now, this is all well and good, but when you’re talking upwards of $100 a bottle/jar etc. for some of these products, it just isn’t viable for the average person.

There are also natural proactive acne treatments that can be used, things like:

-         Aloe Vera – a brilliant natural plant that can be applied topically to your skin and has great healing and preventative acne properties.

-         Dong Quai – improves blood circulation, therefore the natural cleansing of your skin.

-         Herba Lamnae – helps in circulation, and elimination of waste material from the skin.

So, as you can see, being proactive in your acne treatment is possible, and can keep your skin looking clean, clear and supple, without the risk of long term damage. The trick is to get it early.

Also, a couple of things that you can do, on a daily basis to be proactive with your acne treatment, is to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day, we won’t discuss the scientific background behind doing this since the benefits of drinking water have been touted for years upon years, but let us just say, that it is essential to do.

The second most important thing to do is to eat a healthy diet. While there is no ‘scientific’ evidence that suggests a correlation between your diet and pimples, personal experience suggests otherwise (sugars etc. seem to effect it with us).

So, there are several ways that you can be proactive in your acne treatment, the trick is sticking to it consistently.
